N.A.O. is an enigma to the general public. N.A.O. stands for the New Age Outlaw, a moniker given to this talented M.C. while spending time in Riverside (pop. 1200), in South Memphis, TN. Born and raised in Black-haven, N.A.O. picked up his sharp lyrical skills from countless hours of being in the studio with DA SURVIVORZ, Lil B da Chug-A-Lug Thug, SteveBrat, & C2thaA. Their debut album, Blood, Sweat, & Tears gave him his first opportunity to bless the mic. N.A.O.'sextraordinary career matches his extraordinary life, a mixture of blessings and banes, dazzling success and inscrutable pain. His biography and music are twin reflections of the same dualty: the artistic and personal struggle to heal the split between head and heart, flesh and spirit, ego and God. Meanwhile, the music lives on for the pleasures of its beauty and the marvel that is N.A.O.'s voice. He hits off as a commercial if somewhat rebellious artist, a brilliant product of the 10 2 DA TENTH & DIG DAT assembly line. He's matured as an independent force, a self-produced self-reflective author who both rose to the challenge and fell to the temptations of his times. With the connection of him & up & coming atrist/producer DEEYAYO, they created sounds combining passionate yearning and restless anger. A most formidable collaboration, the music they make expresses an anguish not before heard.



After a few legal setbacks, N.A.O. is back with a vengeance. He combines the hustler's mentality with hearty tales of real life on the streets to incorporate his own sound of an artist peaking to reach his full potential; spitting hard core, in your face lyrics over some of the dopest production you can find. You can often see yourself entrapped by his grappling stories of a person straddling the fence, battling the good and evil inside us all. Living by the motto "FUCK DA WORLD, ITS ALL ON ME," this humble artist brings something needed to the scene. Someone who says what he means & means what he says. He's the epitome of the truth, evident in the sincereness by which he captures ears. An established storyteller, N.A.O. is a griot for the Hip-Hop nation. Still Survivin' is Da Survivorz sophomore release from Dig Dat Records and just like their debut album "Blood Sweat & Tearz" it is a classic. The entire album, except for 2 tracks, is produced by Free Blak Productions which consists of Da Survivorz and Derrick FoReal.
