Daisy Spurs

Born in a funky little house on the prarie to parents of meager means, siblings Daisy and Spur found their way to bright lights and even bigger cities. Music and dancing was their guide. But this ain't no rags to riches story.
Life for little Daisy and Spur wasn't always filled with fabulous outfits, gogo boots and sexy stage antics. The band they formed, Daisy Spurs, almost succumbed to stationary cultural codes that say boys can't wear panties and girls can't be boxing champs. A code that music has to be one thing or another. Fortunately that was almost.
For four years Daisy and Spur played gigs along on the East and West Coasts where their little dance band of three grew into a full fledged posse of go-go dancers, sex workers, gender illusionists, broadway stars, acrobats, modern dancers, singers and DJ's.
The group even invented their own infectious, hi-NRG sub-genre of "Gogocuntrypunkmashupelectrohouse."But don't call it a cult and puh-lease don't call it a comeback. Daisy Spurs – along with their synchronized cousins-in-crime, The Fuckerettes – are taking it off the farm and off the wagon,straight into your hopes and dreams of what it means to be free.
