T.M.A is just basically 3 blood born brothers (Trimaine,MarQues, and Antwon Clark) started rapping seriously back in 1996. They started out recording on to cassette tapes and distributing them at their high school (Lakeview Centennial H S) in Garland. They were known for just freestyling at high school events with other high schools until about 1999 when they released their first mixtape "Freestyle All-stars" which introduced not only T.M.A. but also Big Doughski, and Hot Rod thus forming "Da Grind Records".The mixtape also included DJ Flake, Low Low, and Greg Street(SG). The release of that mixtape caused a buzz for the introduction of their first album "TMA and Dough 2G-1" which featured Da Grind Records, David Chris and John Doe. Following that by popular demand, by their peers, they released their next album "TMA Uncut Vol. 1 (Grindin and Stackin)" which introduced A.J Walker "Mikey" and Atlanta phenom L. Guapo and also featured John Doe. Since 2002 they have released numerous mixtapes in the underground circuit. And have for the first time since 2002 are releasing a TMA mixtape, minus "Maine" who is in Florida for the time being, on June 14, 2006. Look for it on the streetz.
