"People are starting to recognize us when we go places", reveals Kristopher Shelby, one half of the New Orleans duo known as Da Block Burnaz. Its probably because we dress like we are modeling for GQ magazine", jokes the other member Blaze Miller. "And its not just our fashion. There are times when me and Kris will walk in a club and just swag. One minute it could be a lifeless and the next, it looks like a sequel to a house party movie." And they're not just boosting.

For the last few years, Da Block Burnaz have been redefining party anthems and giving the world a glimpse of what could be possibly the next Kriss-Kross or Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff. The tag-team raps and catchy dance hook of their club single "Work that thing" recently dominated New Orleans radio beating out national and local competition for weeks. An independent release of their album "OverHeated" which has sold close to 15,000 retail copies to date and opening concerts for major acts such as T.I., Juvenile, Nivea, and Trina havent hurt the duo's steadily growing fanbase either. "We are coming", predicts Kris. "It's getting to the point where these girls have feelings that are getting involved and they are recognizing us. They are requesting our new stuff on the radio. And at the moment, there is no other duo out that caters to women. There is nobody else in New Orleans or the south like us. We dance, rap, sing.we do it all."

The newest single from Da Block Burnaz "Late Nite" -an ode that ladies should appreciate, incorporates punchy party drums and a classic bounce tune to get any club hype. Other notable leaked possible singles include the addictive "Side", "New Orleans My Birthplace" which features fellow hometown native Lil Wayne, and the honest but catchy dance tunes of "Head Doctor".

And with a new year ushering in the door, Da Burnaz are more than ready to capitalize on a new sound and screaming groupies. "I'm Kris and thats Blaze" raps Kris pointing at his partner. "And they call us the Block Burnaz!!!" ends Blaze right on que.
