Our Founders
Entertainment guru Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond, who is credited with orchestrating some 20 million records sold over the last decade and hit record producer Bryce Wilson (of R&B duo Groove Theory) co-founded Czar Entertainment after partnering on several successful business ventures over the years. "We produce the music and shoot the videos while Virgin Records distributes and promotes our product," says Czar CEO/Co-Founder Jimmy Henchmen/ Associate Producer for the platinum soundtracks to Exit Wounds and Romeo Must Die and Co-Creator of "How Can I Be Down" the foremost urban music conference of the decade, Jimmy is also a consultant to former SRC/Loud Records CEO Steve Rifkin, Motown Records and Blackground Records. He was also a key figure to the early success of acts such as late The Notorious B.I.G., The Fugees and Salt-N-Pepa, as well as producers Deric "D-Dot" Angeletti, Ron "Amen Ra" Laurence and D-Moet to name just a few.
The Future
Czar anticipates several high profile recordings by the end of 2005, the first of which will be R&B songstress Sharissa followed by Brooklyn rapper BELOVED. Currently in the studio, Sharissa?s putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album. The soulful singer?s jump off single, "In Love With A Thug," features Grammy? Award winning singer/songwriter R. Kelly. "We're off to a great start," says Czar Entertainment President/Co-Founder Bryce Wilson, who starred in Beauty Shop. We have great artists like Sharissa and BELOVED and on the production side we have super producer, writer, and recording artist, Mario Winans, whose hit single "I Don?t Wanna Know" reached 2 on the 2004 Year End Billboard Hot 100 Singles and Tracks chart. Winans has written and/or produced hits for Brian McKnight, P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Wonder and Ruben Studdard, among others.
