The Salvagers are a rock band from Sydney, Australia.
Formed in 2007, the band initially spent time touring and writing songs ranging from punk rock to electronica. In 2009, The Salvagers worked with producer Lee Groves for their debut release, The SALVAGERS E.P.

The EP garnered positive reviews, noting creative song writing and thoughtful lyrics, however, the release fell largely upon deaf ears. Listeners were left confused, the disc's eclectic song selection made it hard for the band to claim a sound of their own.
2011… After two years of setbacks and label frustrations, The Salvagers have returned: unsigned and independent, with their second offering, the "Young Bones EP".
The band has set out to focus their sound. They worked with friends friends, pulled favours and almost sent themselves broke… but have managed to create an explosive new release. Produced again by Lee Groves, the Young Bones EP teems with stories of life, uncertainty and yearning.
Lead single 'YOUNG BONES' encapsulates the band's sound: light and dark, joy and melancholy. With the guts of driving drums and guitars, Cameron Young's vocal delivery ranges from subdued and sensitive, to roaring and restless, the band's sound is at once fresh and reminiscent.
"This song was written after a long and heavy night out . doing the whole walk of shame thing, I would usually feel pretty high, but this time not so much. I was lost, still drunk and broke, our band was going nowhere, had no girlfriend or anyone like that I really cared about, a pretty low morning really. I was in a place I didn't want to be and that's what this song is about." – Cameron Young
To prepare for it's upcoming release, the band are travelling to North America for a July promo tour.
The Young Bones EP is set for release late in 2011.
