With 34 years of age and a history of more than 10 years in music biz including releases on labels like Vienna Scientists, Stereo Deluxe and Vinyl Vibes Records CURV is allready a benchmark in the scene, yet still a pearl to be discovered. The public part of his musical journey began in the late 90s as one half of producer duo Thrust & !Pez. The sound of the hour was NuJazz & Downtempo and Curv's productions took inspiration out of the freestyle scene around the now legendary Jazzanova club nights in his hometown Berlin. After the split up of the duo in 2001 Curv founded his own label & agency Orange Coffee. OC's first promo CD grabbed the attention of Karsten John who immediately signed the beautiful broken beat tune Volo Nel Cielo for a 12“ release on Vinyl Vibes Records. Curv uploaded his next production Cuban Clowns on Myspace where it spent only a couple of hours before it got licensed straight away for the Brasilectro 8 compilation. It was later included on his Exclusives EP which also featured a stunning Nu-Bossa version of Adamski's 80s hit Killer that got licensed to numerous compilations on labels like Sony, Sunshine or Ministry Of Sounds.

By that time Curv's trademark sound was a mixture of organic elements with clubby parts, deeply rooted in Soul and Jazz and with a strong sense for arrangements and melodies. No wonder that all of his music turned out to be the most licensed and downloaded in the history of Vinyl Vibes Records. In 2007 Curv finished a complete Album that included cooperations with singer talents Knixx and Eva Ventura. Due to sample clearing reasons the album was never released but in a new version now scheduled for next winter.

By the end of 2000s first decade Curv started to develop a stronger love for electronic music splendidly reflected in his amazing remix for St Gilles' Listen To These Words. This time inspired by his own work it took him only 2 weeks to finish Between Here And Nowhere, his now second album which he produced all on his own. It is no suprise that Between Here And Nowhere is not just another electronic album as one might suggest. It features a unique style of warm and analog sounding club music that makes perfect sense as a listening experience too. It would not be Curv if there wasn't any bits and pieces of Jazz, Funk and Disco, if he would not occationally mix the electronic beats with some natural sounding drum kits, the keyboards with some piano. But he is now putting all these things into an electronic context of House Beats, naughty Electro and even deep Minimal. In between all of this you will find stunning little details, lovely little melodies, suprising little breaks making this music special, making it Curv-Music in it's very own way.

Curv's new album is spotting a position on his own journey between past and future influences, on his journey between here and nowhere. Or is it a journey to somewhere special? He's gonna let us know for sure!
