-Growing Curt Clendenin-

(The Birth of USSU)

-Chapter 1-

Curt was born in Carol Stream, Illinois, a Northwest Suburb of Chicago

(home of Leon Spinx, who now spends time selling autographed posters at the Village Tavern).

He appreciates the finer things in life, like drawing faces in the clouds with his eyes and planting seeds in the minds of Future America.

Someday soon his action figure will be talking to your child once they push the blue button on the bottom of his right foot.

-Chapter2:

He first became enamoured with coincidences when he found his report card in the mail and hid it from his parents, then later that night sat down to watch "Growing Pains" with his parents and the episode was all about Mike Seaver finding his report card in the mail and hiding it from his parents then later getting in trouble because his Mom finds it under his pillow while she is making his bed (or something like that happens anyway). He wondered if he was psychic. Maybe he predicted that? Maybe he manifested it?

-Chapter 3-

He started noticing words and/or phrases he invented/co-created with friends, emerging months/years later as dialogue and titles and characters in films, songs, television shows, etc. This caused him to wonder if anyone else experienced similar occurrences.

In High School one of his teachers continually pointed out the serendipities in the lessons they were learning. It was here that he not only first heard the word "serendipity" but also the first time he met someone else who spoke about these magical phenoms with fervour and appreciation. It inspired Curt to further investigate.

-Chapter 4-

These happenings kept happening, finding and finding him throughout his life

(thinking about people he hadn't thought about in eons, only to receive a phone call from them five minutes later

Desiring to hear a a particular song, then three minutes later it appears on some obscure radio station he has never tuned to before.).

Eric Kleinberg and Curt talked years about how to implement these exciting discoveries into their lives.

One cozy twilight, a zeitgeist visited Eric in a dream, planting the seeds in his mind for how to later utilize these epiphanies.

He was walking around a downtown area. Everywhere he looked, he saw the word "Ubiquity": a sign, someone's tshirt, car license plates, etc.

When he awoke he read the definition: u·biq·ui·ty (yoo-bik'wi-te) n. Existence or apparent existence everywhere at the same time; omnipresence: "the repetitiveness, the selfsameness, and the ubiquity of modern mass culture" (Theodor Adorno ).

A couple nights later, Eric was visited by another zeitgeist. He was back in the same downtown area, only this time the word "Serendipitous" was appearing everywhere. When he awoke from the dream, he looked it up in the dictionary:

ser·en·dip·i·tous

/?s?r?n'd?p?t?s/ [ser-uhn-dip-i-tuhs] –adjective

1. come upon or found by accident; fortuitous: serendipitous scientific discoveries.

2. of, pertaining to, or suggesting serendipity.

3. good; beneficial; favorable: serendipitous weather for our vacation.

USSU (Ubiquitous Serendipity Serendipitous Ubiquity) was born.

-Chapter 5-

Since then, Curt has been reading books, researching online, talking with others, and seeing movies about such subjects. He has been experimenting with his life in this fashion remarkably and more efficiently manifesting his reality from millimoment to millimoment, re-discovering new epiphanies. Observing the unfolding of this process between the lives of his friends and family is encouraging and and perpetual inspirado projecto.

-Chapter 6-
