CURTAINS is an experimental punk rock group founded in Chicago in 2005 by Alex Nova. Alex has been cited as saying his influences are ever-changing, returning, extremely varied and that in the end for a transient musician of the here and now "its all about another nova." . The sound of the group is often seductive and features ambience coupled with tunnling song structures which seem to intentionally disorient and excite the listener. Their experiments in mixing punk instrumentation with a deep space addled mutations put them in a fringe field all their own. Its underbelly sci-fi punk weirdness in the new age and the outskirts are inside, saddle up.
