Jonah The Furious

Currents is a project formed by four musicians, as a means to progress in the maturity of artistic ideals, not be held captive by the boundaries of genre and rules, and to develop a fluidity and dynamic sense of aesthetic. This is our worship.



Waves are a rhythm that draw you to the waters. They are calming and almost hypnotic to the point of ambience. Travel not past the shallow waters for the currents hunt with hostility unreconciled. They are fluid and powerful, unforgiving, and uninhibited by obstacles. This is what I anticipate about "currents," that the music will flow with a dynamic aesthetic comparative to that of oceans and currents, so i find the chosen name very appropriate for what we are trying to accomplish as artists. I want people to be able to get lost in the music, and for us to be able to make it a compelling and even worshipful experience for them. God has a plan for each of our lives, and for this project. I think in order to get anything out of these experiences, we must let go and let the currents pull us under.
