This Fall, the waiting will finally be over when Orlando based rock band Cure for Caska releases their latest album, Wait and Hope, on August 10th. As the guitar and drums take on their traditional roles in the band, the strings (Violin, Cello, and Upright Bass) provide the classical influence for a different twist on rock.
Being versatile musicians gives Cure for Caska the ability to change their sound from sweet love songs supported by strings, to edgy rock songs driven by guitars and drums. Cello leads the way, often playing a second melody in support of the vocals on the first guitar driven single, "Time Goes Quickly By," which will be released July 1st. As the band builds on their foundation of cello parts, there is no shortage of melodic strings parts. The melody and counter-melody of the violin and cello are carefully supported by the upright bass on songs like "Pleasantly Surprised" and "It Isn't The Cancer That Binds Us Together."
Their latest album, Wait and Hope, was co-produced with Adam Chadwick, mixed by James Wisner at Plush Studios in Winter Springs, FL., and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New Windsor, NY.
