In case you've been sleeping, Young Gari is back on his grizzly. Anticipation started building over night, when the 26-year-old Garifuna artist released his smash single "Gudemi". "Young Gari hitting the Punta scene is like Obama winning the election," said Blay Classic, CEO of Blay Classic Photos. "It's just that big of a deal." Blay's sales pitch may be a bit over the top, but with Punta Music suffering through a vicious drought, the buzz surrounding Young Gari has grown intense. "Young Gari is the hottest cat in the Garifuna game right now," says many people in the world of "Youtube & Myspace" Gari is expected to come out with his solo album this year, he is inclined to downplay the attention. "I'm here to give the Garifuna community what they've been lacking," he says,"Right now I'm just working hard to bring back that Garifuna feel good music I will put an end to today's Bubble Gum Punta!!!". Young Gari is the last in his genaration to sing with that Garifuna soul. Unlike his peers, the majority of his music actually have a message!!! "I am proud to be Garifuna.
