Miles George has carried the stage name ‘Cu-Cu’ ever since he started writing music when he was ten years old. From 2006 to 2009, Cu-Cu has written and recorded 4 full length albums and an EP, all consisting of original artwork by George. Most of his songs have been recorded on an analog tape recorder, but he has recently been recording straight to his computer using GarageBand. He was also able to record in an actual recoding studio for his 2009 album ‘The TV Is My Nightlight’, recorded and mixed by Rob Allen. Cu-Cu’s performances have primarily taken place in small coffee shops and various open mic nights, but he has made each of his live experiences more than ordinary. From yelling into a toy megaphone to bashing his fingers on a toy piano, the show that Cu-Cu puts on can sometimes feel like something between a DEVO concert and a birthday party with a clown wrestling a magician. His blend of indie pop and folk-rock music has made his music diverse in many ways and has been enjoyed by many happy people.
