BIO

When Stereo:Type embarked on their ‘What’s That Noize!?’ album tour, their aim was to take djing to another level. Ask anyone who has seen them play, and they’ll tell you that’s exactly what they’ve done. The deceivingly simple set up of 5 decks and 2 mixers is the platform for the fast paced, highly original live mash up of more tunes and genres than imaginable. Setting a new standard in the party-rocking stakes, Stereo:Type deliver a show encompassing any music which fits their ideals, fused together with scratching, beat juggling and mind blowing mixing skills. Whether you are a breakbeat aficionado, Junglist, electro head, boom-bap hip hopper or emo kid, Stereo:Type have something for everyone.

February 2009 saw the airing of the Stereo:Type ‘Top Ten at Ten’ mix for Eddy Temple Morris’s Remix show on XFM. The now legendary mix which consisted of 64 tracks in 10 minutes was (and still is) hailed by Eddy as ‘The best 10 minutes of radio I have ever heard’. Throughout the year the boys wowed crowds at prestigious venues and events such as Fabric, The Glade Festival, Secret Garden Party as well as countless gigs around Europe. Their jaw dropping set at Matter’s 1st birthday celebration was broadcast live on XFM and secured them headline spots at The Big Re-Union & Gods Kitchen.

Starting 2010 as they mean to go on, Stereo:Type have secured a residency at the Infamous Gatecrasher Club in Birmingham where they rock the mansion room twice a month. A ‘show stealing set’ (Daily Star) at the first ever Big Snow Festival has since secured them slots at Legendary promotions from England to Ibiza including Kiss Da Funk & Judgement Sundays.
