Cruel Humanity are a well established band whose sound has continually evolved over the decade they have existed. Always hard to categorise, they take inspiration from Black, Death and Doom Metal mixing aggression with melody to generate an epic sound with huge guitar/bass tones, fast paced percussion and a good dose of synths.

Cruel Humanity have moulded their sound and carved their way into the metal scene over the years, headlining tons of gigs and making a stunning appearance centre-stage at the Bloodstock festival in 2003 which coincided with the release of their debut album, 'Creatures of Fear' on Shadowflame Productions.

After the departure of half its members in 2007, Cruel Humanity are back from the dead with new members, new songs and a craving to write and perform. The new album is being recorded and the elusive ‘Something That Bleeds’ will be released as an EP.

A couple of our reviews:

"It's always a pleasure to hear new British metal bands that dare to be different, and this lot have devised a sound that seems genuinely free of the usual, hackneyed influences. A cobweb-clearing blast of fetid air, Cruel Humanity's blackened thrash shreds and slashes like a rusty, serrated blade thrust in to your face, but they are also capable of pissing confidently on the rulebook with slabs of mid-paced Rotting Christ-style gothic crunch ('Creatures Of Fear') and plenty of sweeping, trad metal grandiloquence ('Blood Omen'). This is more than impressive for now, but with a bigger budget these artful extremists could have a glittering future."

"Hailing from Derby, Cruel Humanity play some of the most unique, individual atmospheric black / death metal I have heard for years. With their upcoming debut album 'Creatures Of Fear' Cruel Humanity look set to take the underground metal scene by storm."

"Well I have to say that I have not been this impressed by a debut album from a British band in quite some time."
