He is not just a MC…he is not just another rapper…he is the “Voice of Reason”, better known to the world as Royal-Tee. His debut album, “Alumni,” was released September 2007 under Street Dreamaz Entertainment. He brought an innovative and fresh new style to Charlotte, NC aka the “Queen City" with his trendsetting style and clever lyrics. He is more than a breath of fresh air to hip hop; he is the epitome of raw talent. Royal-Tee was born in Charleston, SC as Ade' (pronounced Ah'-Day) Adisa Vanderhorst, which means "Royal Priesthood" in the Nigerian language. The legends that have come before him that inspired and molded him into the artist he is today are: Nas, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS (Boogie Down Productions) and other outstanding lyricists from the 80’s. Royal-Tee promotes positivity and upliftment in his lyrics and is a true hip hop renaissance man. He uses his voice to encourage, motivate and bring consciousness to anyone that listens to his music.

Royal-Tee has done collaborations with Phonte of Little Brother, Rudy Currence, Jus K, Sonny Rich and many other notable artists. Royal-Tee’s first single "Love Thing", featuring artist Jus K, received airplay and was requested by many listeners across the country. He also has collaborated with Kalako of PowerSource Entertainment (Atlanta, GA), for the hit single, “Monkey Roll,” which received national airplay in Mississippi, Germany, Canada, Athens, Alabama, Tennessee, Augusta, GA and the Top 20 charts in St. John, Canada. Royal-Tee is such a multifaceted artist that he has been invited to perform and tour with: Just Plain Folks Tour, Ebony Black Family Reunion, For Sisters Only, Taking it to the Streets Tour, Power 98 Summer Fest and also Alley Hoops Jam with special guest Little Brother and Doug E. Fresh. He was nominated for Best Rap Album of the year by the Southern Entertainment Awards 2008 (SEA). He has been featured in several print and online publications such as: The Charlotte Post, Showcase Magazine, The Contender, Klassy Magazine, The Niche, Carolina Promoter, Rolling Out, Word on the Streets, Street Report Magazine, DV8 and Indie.

Royal-Tee is to Hip Hop what Elvis is to Rock & Roll…original and undeniable. His motto is, “Without a vision, we perish.” Hip-Hop is here TO STAY!
