Crimson Daydream are the Leeds-Based Alternative Rock band, formed after a chance meeting on a midnight train between Andy Doonan and Matt Bennison (vocals and Drums), both having parted ways with previous bands.

The line up immediately gelled, and they developed a strong and stylish set which comprised of self-penned material and carefully chosen re-worked covers. They soon progressed to playing regular high-profile gigs such as the York St John University Summer Ball, winning battle of the bands competitions, and regularly play well-established venues such as The Cockpit and Rios in Leeds.

The Crimson Daydream style blends high-energy, sing-along choruses with tight vocal harmonies, all with a characteristic, tongue in cheek humour. The band has a sound all of their own, combining "soaring guitars" with "heartfelt vocals," and are known for throwing their energy out to the audience. Gig favourites include"Go Ahead", "She's So Receptive" and "My confidence."

A loyal band of fans are joined at every gig by an ever increasing congregation, so, next time they are in town, get yourself down there. You'll be glad you did.

Reviews

One of the best (or at least my favorite) bands since I started reviewing for Yorkshire Music Collective.

Love it. Nice introduction. Nice overall sound led by drums and piano. Just blissful – love the way the song is structured. Heartfelt vocals with a reasonably good voice well exploited. Great little song – very hard to fault.

The MySpace reveals Maybe, a weird cross between The Jam and Thin Lizzy! But that's okay 'cause it's like the best bits of both – I like it. Public Property, like Maybe, is a bit harder edged than Aftertaste. Clever lyrics.
