M.O.N.E.

Chauvon M.O.N.E (pronounced monay) Higgins was born in the 17th ward, in uptown, New Orleans, Louisiana. Her acronymic name stands for Money Over Niggaz Everyday (M.O.N.E). It represents her undistracted ambition and drive, which pushes her success in the industry.

Raised in a music oriented family, she began rapping at age 11. Her buzz started on a Clear Channel, New Orleans radio station, Q93(WQUE). Showcasing her talents, she repeatedly dominated the mic, on Wild Waynes 9 oclock Props battle rap radio spot. Her long standing victories on the prime time radio spot was the catalyst for her fame. She became the Left Eye of her cousins R&B group Diamonz. They've performed with Carl Thomas, Fabolous, Avant, Profile and numerous other national hip hop and R &B artists.

Later, she branched off to start the seductive, street ruling, hip hop female rap group, BlakIyce Their latest top selling CD, is entitled THE IYCEAGE. It can be purchased throughout the south. Mini labels have been the groups stepping stones, including a deal with Roy Jones Bodyhead Ent. For five years these independent labels deals have created avenues allowing the crowd teasing, yet hard core girls, to tour with Master P, 50 Cent, B.G., Juvenile and Soulja Slim. They've opened for Mia X , Jada Kiss, P.Diddy, Camron, Naz, Partners N Crime, UNLV, Choppa, Kane and Abel, Majic , Lil Scrappy and many other artists in their hip hop genre.

The multi talented, M.O.N.E. is not only a hip hop artist. She is an aspiring, up and coming actress. Not only featured in videos, shes locked five independent movies under her belt. Two of which are platinum selling, Maverick distributed films: Da Blockparty and Jeremys Family Reunion. Also landed an extra role in the major motion picture films, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Just My Luck.

The petite and sexy M.O.N.E. also took a walk on the wild side wearing an exotic snake around her neck, as she walked the run way and sensually smiled for the camera with Perfect Ten Models, a Baton Rouge based, entertainment company. You can add R&B songwriting, and screenplay writing to her roster of talents as



well. In the future you will be able to find M.O.N.E.s personal perfume and clothing line in department stores. In her own words I dont dream to be a rapper; I dream to be a franchise.

Unfortunately, M.O.N.E.s career was interrupted with the sudden destruction of the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina. Most of her fan base was located in her hometown, New Orleans, Louisiana. She lost all of her possessions. Im at the bottom now. Left with nothing, she says. So now I can only move up. With that said, we can see that M.O.N.E. still possesses her drive and dedication. Her mental fortitude, mixed with her beauty and talents, keeps her destined to become the next superstar.
