Cree Society

Cree Society was formed through thoughts and dreams of young singers and song makers singing their own style of songs. Being young and sticking together as friends, brothers and sisters, Cree Society first set up at Muskeg Lake powwow in the Summer of 2003. We have had the opportunity to host powwows from as far south as New Mexico, and as far North as Northern Manitoba. The members of Cree Society are fun loving individuals, who believe humor, fun and singing is what keeps them together. All singers strongly believe in the traditional ways, and incorporate the beliefs and customs into their everyday lives, as it is a part of their identity. When we are not singing, we are most likely following in the footsteps of our Mooshums, which is playing cards and drinking tea, you know. On Behalf of Cree Society, we would like to thank all the people who have had the confidence in us. To all the people who have helped us along the way, we are forever grateful that you have given us constant support, blessings, and motivation.
