THE REBEL COUNTY

My name is Craig Needles and I am 21 years old.



I am The Rebel County. Powered by everything from other musicians and writers to politics to the news every day to hatred to apathy, I spend countless late night hours planning my own revolution in my head. I envision these songs being sung from behind a podium at a Civil Rights march, in front of a sea of millions who aim to bring peace and awareness to the rest of the world. Or from the center of an angry protest on Capitol Hill, among thousands of fists and thousands of voices. Or from a basement, surrounded by friends helping to scream every word. Constantly frustrated by 2 major things: Not having a productive outlet to express my personal and political beliefs; And bands, writers, radio show hosts, and TV news anchors (and anyone else who holds people's attention on a regular basis) who don't use their voice and their power to say anything that may ignite a change in people's views and, ultimately, the world. I picked up a guitar and a pen and began my mission to make an impact (positive or negative) on everyone I could. When Billy Bragg says "Help save the youth of America. Help save the youth of the world.", it's not just a line in a song to me. You've sailed into The Rebel County.



The Rebel County refers to way that I believe the world should be. I believe that everyone should question everything. Do not go through the motions in life based on what other people expect of you. Don't believe anything you are told unless you honestly see the truth in it yourself. The world would not be full of wars, lying politicians, greedy bosses, and pissed off workers if it were one county. a county of rebels ready to revolt and pave their own path, fulfilling what they truly wish to accomplish, seeing the big picture and realizing that life is too fucking short to waste time on anything else.
