"Let Her Cry" is a song by American rock group Hootie & the Blowfish. It was released in December 1994 as the second single from their successful 1994 album, Cracked Rear View. The single went on to reach the #2 position on the American Billboard Top 40 Mainstream chart and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also peaked at #4 on the Australian ARIA Charts.[1] The song also received the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1996. The song references R.E.M lead singer, Michael Stipe. In September 2015 James preformed this song on his 1st performance on the 9th season of the Voice .
