Counterfeitmatt

My name is Counterfeit Matt. I play music. I enjoy things like riding bikes, traveling, camping, and being around as many people as possible. I write about things that I see and feelings I have. I started my musical career at a show venue called Ten Car Pile Up when I was 15. I was the second act. The person that opened for me was a performer that wanted to be something like GG Allen or Iggy Pop. He cut his chest open with razor blades, drank out of a coffee can that he had previously vomited in, screamed profanities at the crowd for 30 minutes, and ended his set by receiving oral sex from a gentleman in the crowd. After this man's set I proceeded to play my set of underdeveloped political folk songs with nothing but an acoustic guitar and a mid pubescent voice. I like to look at my experience as a baptism by fire into the world of live performance.

Since then I have been performing and writing in and around Baltimore, always trying to improve and play with as many people as possible. Everything I have written is a testament to my love for music and life be it good, bad, or ugly. If my music has connected with you in any way, I will consider my hard work a success. If I play a show and you enjoyed your self, I will consider my hard work a success.

I could describe the music but I would rather people just hear it themselves and come to their own conclusions.
