cosmopolitANTS nace como banda en Mayo del 2002. Después de varios conciertos compartiendo escenario con bandas como Love of Lesbian, Nacho Vegas, La costa Brava, Santi Campos., y con 2 demos grabadas, la última "washing our heads", les hace ganarse la aprobación y el reconocimiento del resto de bandas de la escena, del público y de la prensa musical. Después de esto deciden sumergirse en la preparación de lo que será su primer larga duración. Para ello contactan con KEN STRINGFELLOW (The Posies, Big Star, R.E,M.), quién después de escuchar sus canciones, acepta el trabajo y se implica en el proyecto de la banda desde el primer día. Ken no solo producirá el disco, sino que también tocará y grabará los teclados en todos los temas. Actualmente se ha unido a la banda Jonathan Zuriaga, batería y amigo de J.Javier, a quién ya conocía de otro proyecto en común. La grabación tendrá lugar en Septiembre del 2006, en los estudios AudioMayer de Barcelona, propiedad de Jens Neumaier (12twelve).

cosmopolitANTS was born as a band in May of 2002. After some concerts, sharing the stage with bands like Love of Lesbian, Nacho Vegas, La costa Brava, Santi Campos. and with 2 demos recorded, the last one "washing our heads", makes them win the public and music press approval and trust.
After that they decide to inmerse themselves into the preparation of what will be their first full length.
In order to that they get into contact with KEN STRINGFELLOW (The Posies, Big Star, R.E.M), who after hearing their songs, accepts the job and became involved with the project of the band since the fist day. Ken won't just produce the record, but he will play and record the keyboards in all the tracks. Actually, Jonathan Zuriaga, drummer and J.Javier's friend J.Javier, who already had a project together, has joined the band.
The recording will take place in September of 2006, at the Audiomayer Studios in Barcelona, property of Jens Neumaier (12twelve).
