Cosmobile

Cosmobile and Ike Chime have joined forces and recorded an EP which is a free-to-download mp3 release. Their sound is something that has no equivalent in the Finnish music scene – nor perhaps anywhere else in the world. Cosmobile's guitar driven and highly danceable indie rock is joined with Ike's conga drumming and vocals sung in Igbo with hints to African folk tunes.
Cosmobile is a Finnish indier.ock trio that has produced two albums that have been highly acclaimed in the Finnish media. During its 10-year existence the band has gained a wide following and a reputation as a great live act in Finland and the Baltic countries. It has shared the stage with many well-known international indie stars, such as Deerhoof, Yeasayer, Konono No1, The Baddies, The Dodos, and Oh No Ono.
Ike Chime is a Nigerian-born percussionist-vocalist with a long career in the Finnish world music scene starting from arranging dj clubs and hosting radio shows in the early 90's. He has played in a couple of pioneering Finnish world music bands. One of them, The Good People, got signed to Naxos World resulting in an internationally acclaimed album and a tour abroad in 2001.
