Cosey Mo

Cosey Mo was an indie rock band from Aarhus, Denmark, formed in 2006. The band included strong shoegaze and alternative rock elements and is in many regards more associable with Mogwai, Sigur Rós and late 80’s British indie, than the average indie/pop. Cosey Mo builds walls of sound atmospheres and is not afraid of excluding catchy refrains, but the music - due to lots of synth - is still easy on the ears. Vocal-wise, lead singer Marie is far from the barytone indie pop area where acts as Editors, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand are positioned, but gives the sound a more beautiful but also raw, ashtray’ish and bittersweet influence. Cosey Mo disbanded in March 2008 due to internal conflicts.
