Cormellia is borned in Benin. She was devoted since her youth to the music. Her active generosity is her best way of helping her human brothers and sisters but her voice is for her the best manner for praying God. She started to be distinguished in the Adjogan chorale society and went on when she arrived in France to gather people at the time of celebrations she animated. In France, she evolved to polyphony and gospel while taking an active part in chorale societies. In 1999, she was in the chorus-singers who sang the "requiem of Macé" in the Madeleine in Paris in favour of the fight against the cystic fibrosis. In her hearth, perpetuating a Beninese tradition of welcome, she receives in France the largest representatives of the Beninese scene: Vivi the International, Stan Tohon, Kiri Kanta, El Samata, Hountondji Euloge, Bobo D., Euloge Beo Aguiar (Masta cool), Jim Oliver, John Arcadius, Fo Juste and so much of other artists in France who make the "world music". Living from Cergy in 1992, she took part in several musical formations on Cergy and Osny, in France and abroad: Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain, and Switzerland. She sang in the first manecantery of the Valley of Oise with varied repertories: songs of the Renaissance, Misa Criola, classical music (Bach, Haendel, Mozart, Verdi, Josquin Despres, and Poulenc). She founded in Osny in 2004, the first Gospel chorale in the town of Osny whose repertory comprises traditional Gospel as well as gospels coming straight from West Africa and gospels especially written and composed by Cormellia. The musicians who play for the group Gospel (Violin, accordion, keyboard, percussions, and guitar) make of this chorale a formation unique in France. After her first album "Destinée" in 2003 and the realization of the clips of this album joined together under the title "Escapade" she is preparing at this moment her next album "Didé". A first track "Pourquoi" extracted from the album "Didé" was released in Benin during the last presidential elections. The whole of her songs is written and composed by Cormellia.

Cormellia. est originaire du Bénin. Elle s'est consacrée depuis son plus jeune âge à la musique. Sa générosité active est sa meilleure façon d'aider ses frères et soeurs humains mais
sa voix est pour elle sa meilleure manière de louer Dieu.
Elle commence à se distinguer dans la chorale Adjogan et continue à son arrivée en France à séduire les foules lors de célébrations de messe qu'elle anime. En France, elle s'ouvre à la polyphonie et au gospel en participant activement à des chorales. En 1999, elle fait partie des choristes qui chantent le « requiem de Macé » à la Madeleine à Paris en faveur de la lutte contre la mucoviscidose. Dans son foyer, perpétuant une tradition d'accueil béninoise, elle reçoit chez elle en France les plus grands représentants de la scène béninoise : Vivi l'Internationale, Stan Tohon, Kiri Kanta, El Samata, Hountondji Euloge, Bobo D., Euloge Beo Aguiar (Masta cool), Jim Oliver, John Arcadius, Fo Juste et tant d'autres artistes en France qui composent la « world music ». Habitante de Cergy depuis 1992, elle a participé à plusieurs formations musicales sur Cergy et Osny, effectuant des déplacements en France et à l'étranger : Italie, Allemagne, Belgique, Espagne, Suisse. Elle chante dans la première manécanterie du Val d'Oise avec des répertoires variés : chants de la Renaissance, Misa Criola, répertoire classique sacré (Bach, Haendel, Mozart, Verdi, Josquin Despres, Poulenc). Elle a fondé à Osny en 2004, la première chorale Gospel de la ville d'Osny dont le répertoire comporte des classiques du Gospel ainsi que des gospels en provenance directe d'Afrique de l'Ouest et des gospels spécialement écrits et composés par Cormellia . Les musiciens qui accompagnent le groupe Gospel (Violon, accordéon, clavier, percussions, guitare) en font une formation unique en France.
Après son premier album « Destinée » en 2003 et la réalisation des clips de cet album réunis sous le titre « Escapade » elle prépare en ce moment son prochain album "Didé". Un premier titre "Pourquoi" extrait de l'album "Didé" est sorti au Bénin à l'occasion des dernières
élections présidentielles. L'ensemble de ses chansons est écrit et composé par Cormellia.
