“Never let them see you coming” says Corinne, who claims she likes to keep her style fresh and unique. Her vocal ability is nothing short of amazing and with texture as smooth as silk – she’ll keep you wanting more. You need to only hear and see her once to realize the extraordinary talent this young woman exudes.
So where, when and how did it all begin for Corinne? In the Bronx, New York, that’s where. Born and raised in Hip Hop’s hometown, Corinne says she found in music what she couldn’t find in anything else – a passion. “I realized at a very young age that I gravitated to music in an incredibly special way, it just consumed my thoughts. I would sit in my room for hours upon hours just singing and writing” says Corinne. As she developed a strong interested in music she found a place where her musical talents could shine- School. “It’s funny because most kids hate school but I loved it. I joined the gospel choir, started my own dance team, took poetry classes and joined the cheerleading squad. I was very active. I even graduated a year early because I just kept taking extra classes in Music and English” Corinne remembers.
As Corinne went on to sing and dance her way through school she realized that this was her passion, her dream, her life and she couldn’t see herself doing anything thing else. “All I knew was that I wanted to sing and all the songs in my black and white notebook were ready to be heard”. Corinne quickly began networking within the music industry, surrounding herself with producers, engineers and vocal trainers and with a motivated spirit and ruthless ambition Corinne began working with a variety of well-known and up and coming producers in the music industry to produce a sound that is truly her own, ‘a sound that is inimitable and classic’. Instantly she was recognized for her distinctive musical gift and her superb lyrical style was quickly noticed when she began writing songs like, “Therapy”, “Disrespectful” and “High” . Furthermore, what draws you in at first is the beat, but the urbane lyrics keep you listening.
As Corinne steadily developed her craft she was asked to sing background for the smash hit single “We Fly High Remix” with Jim Jones, featuring Diddy, T.I., Lil Wayne and Yung Joc . Corinne also made a cameo in the music video. Soon after her debut on a hit single Corinne became the go-to singer for hooks. She’s worked with a slew of up and coming rappers, writers, producers and lent her vocals to their projects. Corinne says “I love to sing so any chance I get to do it, I never hesitate”.
As a natural actress Corinne has appeared in numerous television and films including, Sex and The City: The Movie (New Line Cinema & HBO), Something's Gotta Give (Sony Pictures), Law & Order (NBC series), Kitchen Nightmares (Fox) to name a few.
