Corey was born on February 23, 1970 in Montreal and lives in Kahnawake. The first guitar he ever played on was a Fender Stratocaster that he and his big brother had bought together when Corey was 11 years old.
Already a promising and very talented guitar player, he was only 13 when he gave his first concert with his brother at Kahnawake's Survival School.
Corey was always a rock and blues fan, following greats like Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Allman Bros, Don Rich, Roy Nichols, SRV. and on.
The first songs young Corey learned to play on his Stratocaster was Johnny B. Goode and Cat Scratch Fever, and soon rounded out to play with many blues, country and rock bands over the years.
Corey is a Player, Writer, Vintage Guitar collector, and gear Tweaker. Currently playing and building Mohawk amps with brother Duane. Thanks to older Bros' Duane and Keith, Corey is a Muscle car enthusiast and can be seen enjoying the family collection of Olds 442 and Buick GSX's.
Corey Diabo is a Veteran guitarist on the scene, with tone and chops that are his own and is well worth a listen. Lead Guitarist and Co-writer with the band Jonas and the Massive Attraction.
