The Cookie Monsterz are Happy Mann & Gareth Molloy, both hailing from the South of England (Essex to be precise, but, don’t hold that against them). The two are old school mates and have over 20 years djing experience between them. Due to their love of house music, they decided in late 2004 to make a track of their own. Liking what they came up with, they continued working in Gareth’s little home studio on their own sound as well as doing a few bootlegs. “We love all aspects of house music weather it might be a warm up mix in a bar or a sexy summer vibe while your chilling by the beach and try to incorporate these elements into our productions. But be it soulful or funky.we do love to produce tunes for the peak time dance floor". Early 2006, after a chance meeting with Graham lord from the Audiowhores, saw their first Single being signed up to their new imprint Tempogroove Recordings. It was a 3 track E.P that featured the vocal talents of Shola Phillips from Astrotrack fame. In Early 2007, the boy’s released their second production ‘I won’t Stop’ on Danny Clarke’s label Soulfunk Digital, this time calling upon the vocal talents of Nicole Tyler. Soon after, the boys were asked to remix the legendary Fat Back Bands latest release ‘Feel The Fire’ on BKO Records. This was later licensed to Ministry of Sound / Hed Kandi’s sister label Stereo Sushi comp. Recently the boys have set up their own label “Floor Jams” The label will not be just an outlet for their own productions, but will also heavily feature other artists and unsigned talent from across the globe. The first release sees the Monsterz team up with the legend that is Tyree (Supa Dupa) Cooper with a track entitled “Hip Housin” it brings a sense of the Old Skool vibes back with a twist of the new. With mixes being supplied by Enzyme Black & Kid Massive, Hip Housin has gone straight into the top 10 on the Traxsource charts which we hear is not bad for a new label on there debut release.
