Hailing from Washington, D.C, with roots in North Carolina, Mississippi, and Las Vegas, Verse's story has been one of overcoming adversity and accepting
change. At age six Verse's life was unalterably changed, when he was hit by a speeding car, an incident was supposed to leave him lifeless, but destiny had a different plan. The trials and tribulations of growing up on the tough streets of the nation's capitol that oppress so many young black males,
quickly became the least of Verse's concerns during childhood as he dealt with the effects of permanent brain injury resulting from the accident.
Verse's catalog of writing contains numerous jazz compositions, over one thousand lyrical poems, and three books. He has immersed himself in study of a wide variety of topics, spanning ancient African and Chinese history to modern business concepts; his world knowledge, like his skills, is unbelievably expansive. The diverse and intriguing nature of Verse's content is only heightened by his impressive vocabulary and versatile rhyme patterns. By combining deep spirituality with his knowledge of the world around him, Verse's potential is nearly limitless.
