Commencing from the town of Snyder, Texas, Johnny Rodriguez Y Conjunto "Mi Gusto", bring together an unmistakable sound and style that can only come from a group consisting of a close knit talented family. The group was originally formed in 1993, by Johnny Rodriguez & Carlos Jesus Serrano. From then until now, Conjunto "Mi Gusto" has undergone several member changes until the magical chemistry was found. Not only was the chemistry found, it was there all the time, right within the family. The current line up for Conjunto "Mi Gusto", features Johnny & Jesus, on vocals, bajo-sexto and accordion, as well as Johnny's son's Juan, Jr. on drums, Jeremy on bass and young Jordan, as guest accordionist. Johnny's stepfather, Popo Sanchez, is the group's percussionist and lighting technician. Upon listening to the music of Conjunto "Mi Gusto", one can easily hear the influence of many years of experience and also a deep love for honest Conjunto music.
This is the debut CD of Conjunto "Mi Gusto", and from the sound of things, it's going to be the first of many, for years to come. This new CD features hard-core rancheras such as "Vida Prestada" and "Compre Una Cantina", rhythmic cumbia's like "La Viuda Con Dinero" and emotional boleros like "Senor Dios". Also, Jordan gives music some spice to his songs like "Estrellita Marinera." This new CD contains 16 songs in all, completely "Dedicado Para Ti".
