COLOUR SUNDAY

Colour Sunday a Mid-Wales based Indie Rock band playing simple, melody driven heartfelt songs that will warm your soul and stick in your head! Taking diverse influences from many genres and drawing comparisons of such artists as ‘3 Doors Down’ and the ‘Foo Fighters’.



Colour Sunday are made up of Rob Picken (Guitar & Vocals), Tommy Carter (Vocals), Benny Picken (Bass) and Aled Lloyd (Drums).



In their short history, Colour Sunday have; won the ‘BBC Introducing’ competition (Oct 2008), had the title track of their first album used in the marketing of an international sports brand [Puma] and has also received continual and growing acclaim from both fans and critics alike.



Colour Sunday have self-released one demo EP recorded with top producer Gavin Monaghan [The Twang / Ocean Colour Scene] and their debut album ‘Numb is the New Feeling’ to positive feedback from both fans and critics alike selling over 1600 copies of the album within its first year. The band are constantly writing and recording whenever given the opportunity and hopes to build on the success of their debut album by promoting and releasing their next recordings on a national level.



In their time gigging, the band have enjoyed many highlights selling out many small venues and have preformed several extremely successful live acoustic sets on local and national radios stations receiving excellent feedback along with festival and support slots throughout the country. The band has also performed live to 2,000 people at a Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey match as well as a headling slot on the second stage at the Osfest festival 2010!
