"Go and pick it up, you won't be disappointed" (CBC Radio 3)
"Though his vocal qualities bear comparison to Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Dave Wyndorf and even Tom Waits, Moore crafts highly personal songs, taut with emotional bearing, in the manner of Tom Petty or Neil Young. With a debut album of this calibre, Moore's name should continue to be mentioned in the same breath as these greats for many years to come"(Steve Lalla, Hour****)
"Leaving Home's raw vocals, melodic harmonica and
strong folky guitar-driven harmonies combine to make
an outstanding folk rock album. Remember his name,
because Colin Moore is on the rise." (Tangible Sounds
****)
"This album promises an increase in your cravings for
cottages, road-trips and campfires (.) grab a seat,
pop in Leaving Home, lean on the person next to you
and enjoy. Trust me, it will be perfect. It's folky,
fantastic and very much worth your time." (Megan
Dolski, The Link 9/10)

Colin Moore is a Canadian singer / songwriter hailing
from Montreal. His raspy voice began to gain him
attention at an early age, and by his mid-teens,
Colin was fronting his first band, Suburban Trash,
later known as Road Bones.
Armed with a guitar and a strong urge to expand his
musical horizons, Colin's desire to write music has
now taken him in a completely different direction: the more intimate bar-room folk. With his smokey, whiskey soaked voice and his ability to tell his stories through lyrics and melodies, Colin weaves a rich and inspiring musical tapestry on which it isn't hard to hear the influence of greats like Springsteen, Petty and Dylan.
Although a new player to the folk-rock scene, he has
quickly caught attention from both fans and industry
alike. Following his debut showcase at CMW in March 2008, Moore has gone on to play a variety of
festivals, including the Quebec city summer Festival,
the Montreal Jazz Festival, SXSW, NXNE and opening
sold-out shows for Joseph Arthur. He also received
rave reviews following his tour opening for David
Usher in fall 2009.
Colin has since toured relentlessly both nationally
and internationally with over 250 dates in 2009-2010,
including 20 in the U.S. and more than 50 in Europe.
2010 continues in the same way, following a European tour in Sweden, England, France and Germany (opening for Holly Williams), Colin returned to take part in the Spring Meetings of ROSEQ 2010.
His first album, "Leaving Home" was released on March 30th, 2010. Produced by his friend and guitarist Ryan Battistuzzi (Breastfeeders, Malajube, We Are Wolves) signed on Indica Records and distributed by Fontana / Universal in Canada, the album is receiving critical acclaim. In anticipation to its european summer launch, Colin returned to Europe in May 2010 for a tour of 10 dates in Belgium, France and Germany with Swiss artist Sophie Hunger.
This summer, Colin Moore has been present everywhere. He participated in a ROSEQ tour across eastern Quebec with Jason Bajada, opened for Rodger Hogdson (Supertramp) at the Quebec city Summer Festival, played the Montreal Jazz Festival and heads to Europe again to play in Switzerland, Belgium and Germany opening for grammy-award winner Roseanne Cash.
Fall 2010 will be just as busy with a month-long tour
in Australia in October and more dates scheduled in
Europe and Canada.
