Who am Iwhen you are my age, I think that is a loaded question. I know who I am becoming. I have experienced so much in this short life. I learned to walk in Germany, I learned to fight in Korea as I trained for an entire summer in full contact martial arts and have traveled this country showing horses.I am a true cowboy in every sense of the word, honest, Godly, strong, safe, with a love of ranching and family that caries throughout all six in our family. This has given me the experience to begin to write. I have felt pain in losing a brother and grace for understanding. But mainly, I am ColeA great friend, a horseman, a singer, rancher and old beyond my years.
MusicHow do I describe my music? I want to remain true to myself and play music that moves me. I play country and while many will argue what that is, to me it means music like Stevie Wonder said,'Music in the Key of Life." I sing of what I know, what I feel and who I am becoming. Country music spans the spectrum of the lives we live and can relate to in our heart. I want to cross boundaries and be an outlaw and play music people will feel. It doesn't mean I have to live bad to play good. I don't conform to a picture or a package and I play for YOU not for the money. So listen, be my friend and my fan. Tell me what you think, give me advice and remember I am just like you. I have been there.
I have to give a big shout out to a couple of people, John Taylor the manager of Tootsies who gave a young kid a chance and is always there for me.It will always be a special place for me to play. Steve Rendall, who has guided me and asked for nothing in return and finally, a new friend, Bobby Pinson who tells me how it is. An incredible songwriter like no other, he doesn't have to spend a minute with me, but he has.
Thanks for all who have given me words of encouragement and even the truth, even if I didn't like itI am trying to find the right voice to get there, any advice, songs or help, I am all ears. Thanks for letting me be part of your music world. I respect so much those who came before me and hope I can make all of you proud. Stand by me, there are great things to come!
Thanks For The Support.
