The “coin” has existed from the morning of the world and it should exist ‘till the last star falls from the heaven. It’s a mixture of experiences, images, ancient and modern civilizations baked in light strokes of the brush and delusions. It is affected by the dual system, tales, civilization, art, (sub) culture, genius, stupidity, chaos, nothing, white, red, black, grey, hardly ever by the relationships, mainly by the unconscious, in the same manner as the list which extents to the infinity, either positive or negative. An enormous quantity of authority dwells in its bowels, the power of which through the pass of the centuries has baptized and taken many names in written or oral speech by the sacred monsters according to the days of civilization such as: god, fate, luck, power or weakness of the human being, will, conquest, vanity.
So the “coin” jingles in your pocket from the morning of the world, giving you different kinds of authority. It is God itself and you are forced to praise him forever. Ask yourself, what you really want: a logical head or an imaginary word full of fairy tales, urban torpor or urban (sub) culture. Look… God is working in a fair!!!

COIN are a Greek alternative – indie rock band and was formed in 2001 in Kavala, North Greece. The members of the band met each other when they all went for studies at the Technical Institute of Kavala. COIN draw their influences from music styles of Manchester scene of the 1980’s and American grunge of the 1990’s. For the first 4 years the band was experimenting writing their own music, recording demos and performing in local stages. In 2005 they released their debut album “Head or Tales” on Side 2 (Studio 2) Records. COIN’s second album, “Urban Subculture”, was released in the spring of 2007 and brought the band its first success. It had great acceptance from the music critics and the audience and followed by a Greek tour and a live appearance in Istanbul , Turkey. This album was an exclusive release of the band. Distribution was made by Play Our Music Distribution Company. In 2008 the members of the band moved to Thessaloniki, and started working on some new ideas. The recording sessions started in December in “RunDevilRun” studios with the producer Nikodemos T. (who was also responsible for the production of “Urban Subculture”). Their third studio album “Popstitute” was released in May 2009. Popstitute includes 11 tracks moving in different musical styles than the other two records. While “Head or Tales” was dark and mystic , “Urban Subculture” was full with rage and anger , “Popstitute” is pure pop!
