CODE OF SILENCE

AUDIOBLAST started operating as a band under the glorious name CODE OF SILENCE during the year 2000 in Chios Island. We were originally formed by John Serpens Lazos who played the guitar and sing, John Fulgor Harlas who also played the guitar, Makis Dorado Dourloudados on drums and Steve Bouras with the bass. Our first concert took place in February 2001 and then six other gigs followed, all of witch where performed in Chios, until the year 2004.We performed on the 14th&15th of July 2001 at the anti-racist festival Tour de Unis in Namur, Belgium. The entire year of 2003 the band remained idle due to its members studies. In October of 2004 thwe band reformed in Athens when Vagelis Arioch Kolios joined the band and became the lead singer.We worked hard to put together plenty of songs for future album releases. A year later, bassist Andreas Az Selaidis joined the band and took over the bass duties. In the fall of 2005 we released our first recorded attempt Break the Silence demo CD. With this demo CD on our hands we took the band to a next level and after many shows all over Greece we developed a devoted following from fans!!!During the fall of 2007 we decided that was the time for our first full length release!!!At that point we had problems with the name Code of Silence due to the fact that there are other active bands with the same name!!!As a result our decision to change our name came naturally!!!So from now on AUDIOBLAST is our new name(more info on this incident on our blog area)!!!Consequently we will title this record "Code of Silence" as a tribute to our previous name which followed us for 8 whole years!!!So keep tuned in MySpace for news on the upcoming album .
