".they just may be the bastard children of an unholy union between John Coltrane and Slayer." - Shelly Blundell
".kind of a head on collision between King Crimson, Edge of Sanity, Skid Row, and Spastik Ink. Technical metal geekoids will drool over some of the amazing spots and ridiculous synergy between these guys." - Sea of Tranquility
"I really can see this band being possibly the next big thing in progressive/jazz metal." - Prognaut
".fantastic technical metal." - Librarius Metallicus
Co_Conspirator has intellectually and emotionally burned Akron since 2002 with their fiery blend of odd-metered progressive jazz and intense metal.
Their music blends elements of classic instrumentally charged prog-rock epics into heavy, melody-laden metal grooves, all without sacrificing its jazz roots.
The four piece strives to make music that's unique and refuses to rush the creation of their tunes. Each musician is constantly challenging the others both musically and creatively.
Each member of Co_Conspirator is well versed in his craft. They have sought professional training and self-instruction to become the musicians they are now.
All four have learned to channel their different styles and creative vision into this eclectic fusion of personality and skill.
The band is influenced by prog greats like King Crimson and classic metallers Iron Maiden. The quartet also draws inspiration from the funky bass grooves of Primus, the eccentricity of Frank Zappa, and the technical riffs of Meshuggah.
Co_Conspirator is constantly trying to learn and grow as musicians and as people. The band strives to create thought-provoking, intense music that will one day be considered the equal to the musical greats they learned so much from and admire so greatly.
