Who am I



That is question that everybody wants to know. My name is Daniel Garza I was born on February 13, 1976 in Houston, Texas. I grew up on the North Side of town in the mist of darkness, drugs, and violence. Growing up in these conditions really left me with no hope for the future except to become a part of what was going on in my neighborhood. Even though my mother made a desperate attempt to change what could happen to me by moving to Austin, Texas. I shortly found out that there was no escaping my destiny of living the street life. By the age of 13 I was back in Houston getting caught up in gangs and using drugs. After that, my life just seemed to be heading in a downward direction. Without any hope of ever doing anything good with my life I just gave in to the things around me and accepted the fact that I was hopeless. As time went on, my life got worse I began to get violent and suicidal, I also started to sell drugs and drink very heavily to drown out my miseries.

At 23 years old, the father of 3 children and going on my 4th, I finally reached the end of my rope; Ready to leave this world I began to live careless and down for whatever. I just wanted to die! I didnt care how it happened I just wanted my life to be over. One day as I was lying in my bed reflecting on my life I started to remember what my mother used to tell me about Jesus. She said, No matter how messed up you are He could change your life and He could take away all the pain and turmoil that you have if you let Him in your heart. I began to see how far away from reality I was and how I was destroying the lives of all those people that were buying my drugs.

I started to feel a pain in my heart as I realized how much my life had changed from an innocent little boy to a heartless drug dealer and how much of my life I wasted. Not really knowing what to say I ask Jesus to come into my life and change me.

Five years later, I have a new name and a new destiny. I go by the name of C-Now because I was Once Blind But C-Now. I see how the devil had me blind and how he was trying to kill me and steal my dreams. My mission now, through Hip Hop music, is to go out and help those who are stuck in the same situation that I was in and to help them fulfill their destiny in Christ. Also to glorify God with my gift of writing songs and poetry, so that everyone could see what God has done in me. Who am I- thats not really important, but the real question is who is He. He is my Lord and Savior and I thank Him with all my heart. Peace!!!
