Clay Allison - "Tonight There Will Be No TV". Between two farms on the french countryside outside the little village of Laval the realisation come to all five of us at the same time: It’s only in the countryside where we can learn how to sing about people in the cities.
At one of the river Mayennes many playful turns we set up long tables under the poplars and sat down and ate, drank and sung. It all exploded in a violent manifestation of happiness and joy that same night on stage. On the plane home a week later we all knew what we had to do: We isolated ourselves in a studio far out on the open, desert fields outside our home town.
Tonight There Will Be No TV is our second album, greatly anticipated by all of our friends all over the world, as well as by ourselves. Our debut album Love On Depression Street turned out to have a persistent will to survive. It never gave up, never died, refused even to be replaced. In 2004 it was released here in Sweden, in 2005 in Norway, 2006 in France and the Benelux countries and in a slightly alterated version with some new tracks added and a few taken away, in Japan in 2007.
During this time we have toured all those countries and it has been a strange and exciting journey, a journey that is now about to continue, it is picking up speed as we speak and we would like to welcome you onboard!
