Num primeiro instante, n�o se sabe o que esperar de Claudia Albuquerque. Simp�tica e com um jeito sereno, ela leva sua beleza estonteante ao palco e, logo que inicia a sua performance, seu talento � revelado e reconhecido. Neste momento, vem a lembran�a da origem da palavra “m�sica” que os gregos t�o bem definiram como “a arte das musas”. Ao encerrar a primeira can��o, Claudia sorri com satisfa��o, parecendo se divertir com o aplauso do p�blico acompanhado por express�es de surpresa, encantamento, entusiasmo e admira��o pela artista. E a sua apresenta��o segue repleta de surpreendentes alterna��es e fus�es de estilos musicais, harmonizados pela sua criatividade e versatilidade.
Cantora, compositora, letrista e pianista, Claudia Albuquerque nasceu em Estocolmo, Su�cia, e passou a maior parte da vida no exterior. Antes de morar em S�o Paulo, viveu em Londres, Madri, Teer�, Cingapura e nos EUA. Tantas mudan�as, despedidas e rein�cios contribuiram para o desenvolvimento da sua paix�o pela diversidade e da sua facilidade e seguran�a ao transitar de composi��es eruditas para o rock, deste para o blues, jazz, bossa-nova ou m�sica eletr�nica. Independente do estilo, cada can��o � criada e executada com primor, � luz da s�lida forma��o musical cl�ssica, iniciada ao piano, quando tinha apenas 8 anos de idade. Aos 15, seu talento criativo foi ativado ao compor suas primeiras composi��es cl�ssicas. Paralelamente, nasceu a paix�o pelo rock e o desejo de dar asas � fus�o de estilos que marca o nome e as faixas do seu primeiro �lbum “Music Freedom” , lan�ado em 2008 pela Livraria Cultura.
“Music Freedom” nasceu ap�s um per�odo de 5 anos que Claudia passou em Miami onde gravou suas composi��es com o renomado produtor Julio Reyes Copello, respons�vel por sucessos de artistas como Jennifer Lopez e Ricky Martin, mas foi o Brasil que ela escolheu para lan�ar o seu primeiro �lbum, cantando para p�blicos de at� 40 mil pessoas.
Recentemente, a faixa “In Your Arms” foi escolhida como tema da novela do SBT Vende-se um V�u de Noiva no ar desde junho, e a cada dia o talento de Claudia conquista espa�o tamb�m no mundo das trilhas sonoras de filmes. Suas composi��es t�m alcan�ando reconhecimento no exterior entre diretores de cinema como David Lynch e cantores renomados como Donovan, com quem fez bel�ssimo dueto em show, no ano passado.
Este ano, Claudia Albuquerque se aventura pela primeira vez no mundo de m�sica eletr�nica. A convite de Klauss Goulart, forma uma nova parceria que mescla o encanto de suas melodias e composi��es com o talento de Klauss que em pouco tempo conquistou o reconhecimento do p�blico e de cr�ticos com faixas que t�m sido tocadas pelo DJ internacional Armin Van Buren.
Entre uma temporada no Tom Jazz, onde cantou como convidada especial de Paulo Ricardo; participa��es tanto como cantora quanto compositora em �lbuns lan�ados no Estados Unidos como Seasons of Light do produtor americano Michael Whalen, can��es pr�prias presentes no �lbum Something Real da cantora alem� Verena Wagner e um dueto �pico no �lbum de estr�ia da banda de rock progessivo 7Cities, o prazer de participar de trabalhos em colabora��o � cada vez maior.
Atualmente, Claudia est� entusiasmada com a grava��o do seu primeiro v�deo clipe que ser� lan�ado ainda este ano.
Born in Stockholm to Brazilian parents, brought up in Madrid, Tehran, Singapore, London, Boston and Sao Paulo, this classically trained piano player knows a thing or two about fusion and harmony - you’ll be at a loss to pigeonhole her. Claudia Albuquerque’s first album, the imminently released Music Freedom, is the result of her disregard for subscribing to any one genre.
Working together with lauded producer Julio Reyes Copello in Miami, she devised lyrics infused with her curiosity and passion for life. To encompass all the compositions into one genre would be to try and squeeze one’s life experiences into one word. With melodies which grab you by the hand and whisk you away to far away places, her voice cannot be mistaken for any other and the listeners only job is to succumb to the emotions awakened by each track.
Claudia Albuquerque was chosen amongst several international artists by famed American producer Michael Whalen to participate in his latest album, Seasons of Light, in which she co-writes the hit Hopping Waves, a tribute to the Brazilian New Years. Amongst thousands of contestants, she was chosen as one of ten artists to perform in a special showcase filmed and soon to be released throughout the USA.
The first track to Music Freedom, entitled Insurrection, was hand picked within a month of her album being finished, by the producers of the forthcoming British feature film Love Me Still.
Having performed to crowds 50,000 strong, she is lined up to play to legion more audiences this coming year.
When not outdoors, the fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English singer songwriter takes time out to relish life as is.
To dream. To feel inspired. And to act on that inspiration. Multi faceted, her reach knows no bounds. Love life and show it.
