Hustle, Grind, and Determination are the perfect adjectives to describe the young, hungry, entrepreneurs, who make up the charismatic hip hop and rnb group "The Finest". While crafting their music and sound in the heart of Steel City, (Pittsburgh), PA, the duo finds inspiration through its dreams and aspirations of achieving the highest level of success. JC and F. Baby linked up during their days at college and realized they both showed the hunger required to make it in the entertainment industry. While at college, the group honed their sound and spent many sleepless nights working on their flow and original delivery. Based on their hard work the group was able to establish a series of successful mixtapes entitled "Survival Of The Fittest". These mixtapes were crafted in their home studio on campus and manufactured on the spot. Each series garnered more praise and demand due to the group’s visible improvement and growth as artists. It showed both JC and F. Baby that their hard work and determination paid off. The entire three-part series went on to sell over 5,000 copies throughout their college campus, which was a huge accomplishment for the then young and hungry group.

After the release of the third mixtape the group was also at the end of their college run. Both JC and F. Baby had successful college basketball careers, and they had a tough decision to face: continue to pursue their dreams of having a successful basketball career overseas, or, continue to brand "The Finest" and pursue a lucrative career in the entertainment industry. The group chose to stick with music, and the decision proved to be the right one. JC and F. Baby began recording out of the legendary ID Labs studio, and they also relocated into the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. After countless nights of long sessions at ID Labs, the group gained the respect of studio owner E-Dan and was introduced to up and coming Warner Bros. recording artist Wiz Khalifa. JC and F. Baby then booked a studio session with Wiz and came up with the street banger "Whatcha Lookin At", produced by super producer Johnny Juliano ("Say Yea", "Make It Hot"). The record generated a huge underground buzz in Pittsburgh which instantly put "The Finest" on the map as artists to look out for coming out of Steel City. JC and F. Baby took the initiative to continue to build their street buzz by hitting every local nightclub in the city, popping bottles in every exclusive VIP, and attending every important event that came to town. JC and F. Baby became local celebrities. Based on their growing buzz and several very successful club appearances/shows, the group was then booked to open for Gym Class Heroes, and months later, Ryan Leslie.

The success of the concerts rapidly spread by word of mouth, and "The Finest" was discovered by upstart record label "Steel Sound Records", which then signed them to a recording contract. From there, the rest is history in the making. "We’re gonna make a big run in '09", states VP of A+R for Steel Sound Records, Christopher "C.D. King" Dwyer. "We have several high quality features stashed away, and we also have a new version of the street single "Whatcha Lookin At", which features both Max B and Wiz Khalifa that we will be releasing worldwide. That record is gonna be heavy in the streets and clubs. JC and F. Baby both have a confident, yet chill swag, and the ladies show them a lot of love. I think they will definitely bring an original angle to the game." With a New Year and new label in the works, "The Finest" is set to make its mark on the industry. Its first official street mixtape "Four Seasons Vol. 1: The Introduction" is hosted by one of the premier mixtape DJs in the industry, Big Mike, and co-hosted by DJ Skeeta (Legion of Doom) and DJ Nyce One (Playaz Circle, DTP). It's only a matter of time before the world ticks on "The Finest" hour.
