Clara Oman

CLARA is a self produced singer/songwriter/pianist based out of Nashville, TN. She writes & records innovative and melodic music from her own 'pink' home studio. Her current project, 'Coloring a Rhapsody EP' is a delightful creation of Clara's most honest and personal work to date. "I was kind of a weird little girl who marveled at arranging hymns, Liberace songs, and Disney/Musical Soundtracks. I had never even heard of Madonna. and this was the 80's"! But Clara soaked up everything she heard and immediately began arranging her own medley's for church services where she played all though her childhood and teen years. "After high school I tried musical theatre for a few years but realized I always wanted to change arrangements and play my own accompaniment I moved to Nashville to pursue the singer/songwriter scene and found my niche". She then wrote and recorded her 1st independent album 'From Now On' which was released with rave reviews to UK radio. "I LOVED London" she says "and the way they said my name over there. Everything sounds classy with an English accent!" After returning to the US, Clara immediately began working on her 2nd solo release, 'Coloring a Rhapsody EP' and will release the full album in Nov. 2009. Here's what she says about the project: "This time I don't care what's on the radio or TV. I'm going back to my roots and rediscovering what i 1st loved about music. Emotion, beauty and freedom.
