From 2004-2008, CK9 has attracted a large, consistent following in the Pittsburgh area. They've done it with slammin funk grooves that get the people dancing. CK9 perform mostly original material, with a few soul/funk classics rounding out each set.

CK9 has performed at all of Pittsburgh's hottest venues and clubs, including Mr. Smalls, Diesel, Thunderbird Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Pepsi Roadhouse and Club Cafe. The band was reviewed and advertised in the City Paper and their first album, "Funk In Your Hand", is often played on WYEP. In February of 2007, the band performed a show at Mr. Smalls which was filmed and placed on Comcast On Demand.

CK9 and the Old E Allstars were originally formed in December of 2004, and was led by vocalist/guitar player, Chris Kratt (CK9). In 2008, CK9 and The Old E Allstars split.

The group loved to play for new crowds and has played at venues and festivals from Huntington WV to Erie PA. They try to treat each member of the crowd as if they're a part of the show.

Their debut album, "Funk In Your Hand," was released in the fall of 2006, featuring a mixture of funk and R&B jams.
