CIBORIUM was born in 95 from the death of MAFETASY in the same year, by the hands of JOSÈ MARQUES , AKA LUGUBRIOUS, guitar and vocals & JOÂO LOPES guitar and vocals too, along side ARMANDO BARRADAS bass player , NUNO MARRECOS drummer & ANTÒNIA BEIRANTE at keyboards.
With this formation and under a new name the begining and composing of new songs began, bringing at the hands of the metalheads of Portugal & the worldwide the demo-tape "ON THE STRAYED PYX" recorded at PÈ DE VENTO STUDIOS and then released by HUSH PROD.
Between the years 97/98 NUNO MARRECOS left the band, and a new drummer was found, til the actual year BRUNO GUILHERME, AKA HEREGE.
In the same year with a new formation and a new spirit on the band the composition for the first album began entitled "COLOSSAL CRAGS" recorded at REC N ROLL STUDIOS by LUIS BARROS, and released by INDEPENDENT RECORDS.



1999 was a good year for CIBORIUM as several shows were made, as were several proposals from outside labels. After some negotiations, two labels were chosen to proceed with the distribution of the new 2nd ALBUM "OVERGROWING HUMAN VOID" with RECITAL DISTRO PT & HARDEBAREN from BG.



After that the band was not capable to go on because of the departure of almost all members, with the only ones that kept the name CIBORIUM on their shoulders was the guitar player JOSÈ MARQUES and BRUNO GUILHERME, just appearing in a few gigs with previous members.
Now in 2009 new creatures were found by JOSÈ MARQUES to fulfill the beast that lives within the CIBORIUM name.
