BAD SCIENCE FICTION IS COMING SOON.

My favorite thing in life is to kick a paradygm in the kisser. So lock the doors.Imagine Alice Cooper playing a Rave party = Metalectronica. Thats us.We got a guy named Boris scratchin turntables. I think he gets all the girls cuz of the eye-patch. .

THE GRAMS.

Started in 2004, the Grams went on to record 2 CDs and play hundereds of shows throughout Southern California, as well as a few touring stints to places as far away as NYC. The Grams received airplay from San Diego, to Austin, to NYC, to Germany, to France to Japan. In their short 4 year history, the Grams garnered 5 nominations at the San Diego Music Awards for Best Americana Performer and Best Americana Recording, fetching two wins in 2006 and 2007. In the wake of releasing their second album, Grams guitarist exrordinaire, Craig "the Craigness" Yerkes was fatally wounded in an automoble accident on July 27, 2009, bringing the legacy and momentum of the band to a sudden end. www.TheGrams.net

THE GANDHI METHOD

The Gandhi Method was comprised of three band leaders (Chuck Schiele, Sven-Erik Seaholm, Cathryn Beeks) singing in neo-folk style with emphasis on songwriting with 3-part harmony as an overt hallmark in their sound. The group recorded a full-length CD in 2004, and promptly broke-up to pursue other interests. The group received a nomination at the San Diego Music awards in 2004 for Best Acoustic Performer. .

CHUCK SCHIELE & THE MYSTERIOUS WAYS.

Releasing an album by the same name in 2002, "the Ways" enjoyed a 2 year tenure in the San Diego Music scene. The band included members Kevin Irvin (bass), Dan Allmann (drums), Marcia Claire (vocals, bass), Peter Bolland (guitar), Crag Yerkes (guitar), Sweet Elise (violin), Lou Carabatta (drums), Anihl Ramashwar (Keyboards, trumpet), Charlie Loach (guitar). Karen Reavis (vocals), Thomas Hwang (violin). From this CD the song "Daymaker" received worthy attention on radio stations from San Diego to Berlin

MODERN PEASANTS.

From 1994 - 1999 this 7-piece band fused rock, world, electro-acoustic guitars, and funk sensibilites into its own wall of sound. This group went to the table with Atlantic Records and Guardian records, but, alas, we left the table. Nonetheless the group became a musician's favorite. the Peasants featuring: Chuck Schiele, Eileen Marie (vox), Jim Earp (guitars & guitarsynth), Kevin Irvin (bass), Dan Allmann (drums), Bastos Moenho (percussion) and Andrea Altona (violin)

THE AND.

The And had a weird band name, yes, but they still played as loud as possible from about 1986 through 1992. Basically this was a rockin, groove band that decided to go throuugh a lot of musical changes in the name of adventure. Chuck Schiele (guitars, vocals), John Bushnell (bass, vocals), Peter Arnold (guitar), Dan Allmann (drums).Though The And never really released anoything officially - they recorded incessantly (and partied a lot) - winding up with several 'bootleggish' full-legth works. The band was a contender in several of the annual KGB-FM Rock Wars, coming home top-dog in 1988. The group received critical acclaim in the media, airplay in San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City.

CHUCK SOLO.

One day it occurred to me that I should try solo. mainly because the idea scared the hell out of me. (I am perfectly willing to try something new, especially if its artistically uncomfortable - as to make it become "comfortable.") I made the decision to try it after the Modern Peasants came to its end.I figured that if I could feel comfortable singing by myself, I'd feel that much more comfortable in a full band. To do this I woodshedded for a year, while playing open mics and low-key Tuesday night gigs until I felt I had a "thing.".

I wound up entering a whole new music thing and found out that acoustic music (as opposed to hard rock and funk bands) was really, really good to me. .

OTHER WORKS.

Chuck is featured on dozens of releases ranging from solo acoustic projects, to rock records, vocal arrangements, guest artist, and also - several appearances on compilation CD releases, recording at Sun Studios in Memphis, including KPRI, KGB, and San Diego Music Awards generated compilations.

Over the course of his career, he's shared billing with.

Jason Mraz, Dave Mason, the Guess Who, dada, Mick Fleetwood, Lawrence Juber (from Paul McCartneys Wings); the Hoodoo Gurus; Taj Majhal, The Little River Band, Little Feet, Bob Mould, to name a few.
