I'm an independent artist living in Hot Springs, Arkansas, in the United States. I make little dolls out of paper and ribbons. No, not really. I make music and movies and I have a gallery called The Gallery@404B.

My main instrument is the piano. I was classically trained but I strayed. I can also play guitar and drums. If I'm drunk.

All my life I've made a living with music - producing recordings, composing, teaching and performing. Lately I've started making documentary movies and I'm spending a lot of my time doing that now.

I do a lot of reading and writing. A common question of people who are in my home for the first time is: "Have you actually read all these books?" The answer is that I've read some of most of them.

I live about five blocks from where i was born.

I'm interested in the way we evolve, both individually and collectively. I love pop culture, from serious political issues to what's wrong with Britney.

I know what I want. Occasionally.

In 1998 I competed for the National Championship of Slam Poetry and part of one of my performances was featured on the CBS program 'Sixty Minutes' along with Marc Smith, the creator of slam, and Robert Pinsky, then Poet Laureate of the United States.

I was a tournament chess player when I was a kid.

I like to get emails from nice people. I almost always answer them.
