CHOLOMANDINGA
Cholomandinga is a musical project born in 1996, Concepcion (Chile). The main concept of this band is the admiration for our Latin American culture.
The meaning of the name Cholomandinga is "Cholo" black-skinned and "Mandinga," a mythological man from the Chilean countryside and a member of the Afro-Latin culture.
This makes Cholomandinga in the range of black music and latin music. You can distinguish influences like (funk, soul, rock, etc) with Afro-Latin ethnic rhythms (ska, Wawanco, cumbia, reggae, etc), Cholomandinga is defined as Mestizo Rock.
Each song is an example of ethnic diversity and social problems as problems in the street, social discrimination. But can also be funny situations and characters that show the personality of the people of this part of the world and of course our thoughts and philosophies of life.

This fourth album is a tribute to a city slum in Concepción (Chile).
