Born to immigrant parents, who settled in the States to raise their child to have the best education possible, ChiChi The Kid learned early in life that to attain success he had to be the best at whatever he wanted to succeed at. "You have to be better than everyone else to even have a chance" was the phrase that stuck with him throughout his childhood and its been the same motto that has motivated him to be the "Best Songwriter Alive". Raised in the dangerous streets of Cap City (Richmond Virginia), this young Southside native knew he would need a strong foundation in school to escape the poverty and hopelessness that plagues many of the city's citizens. Unfortunately, even though he knew better than others, he too allowed himself to be assimilated into the city's gangster lifestyle while he still attended school. Thankfully, he remains a free, young black man in society who is about to get his B.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Mass Communications. Perhaps its his namesake (ChiChi means God is with us) that has kept him unscathed and alive. This aspiring rap artist with boy-band appeal is blessed with the ability to make hardcore, emotional, party, or conceptual tracks that most individuals would never even fathom. His fascinating lifestyle among college kids and urban youth has helped him develop unprecedented skills to bridge universal music that all individuals, regardless of race, age, and background can enjoy.
