Cherrie es una banda de rock entre hardrockero 80tero y los nuevos tiempos. Los integrantes son Mel en la voz, Isay "Chubaca" en la bateria, Quintana en la guitarra y Gollum en el bajo. Cherrie es una banda hasta ahora independiente y en busca de una disquera. Todo empezo hace mas de cuatro anios cuando la vocalista, Melissa quiso reunir a sus amigos rockeros y darle un nuevo giro a sus canciones hasta entonces acusticas. Nacio Cherrie como un concepto nuevo para todos ellos. Ningun miembro original de la banda habia compartido una experiencia tan apasionada en una banda, cuando Cherrie nacio, nacio en cada uno de ellos una fuerza que los ha mantenido unidos y ha mantenido viva la chispa de la banda durante 5 anios en que han visto hacerse y deshacerse bandas.
El primer material de la banda fue llamad "Frutos Cosmicos" donde grabaron 11 tracks originales. El primer material ha sido descrito como crudo y apasionado. De este material se desprenden sencillos como"La Sopa", "Once" y "Besos Falsos" que han sonado casi clandestinamente por todo el pais en la radio independiente, estaciones conocidas como EXA y Reactor (Orbita) y radio por internet.
La banda ha compartido el escenario con infinidad de bandas underground y algunas mas conocidas como: Julieta Venegas, Zoe, Azul Violeta, Nikki Clan, Jesse & Joy, Elli Noise, Colchon. Han tocado en ciudades como: DF, Leon, San Miguel Allende, Celaya, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mazatlan y su hogar Queretaro y San Juan del Rio.
Cherrie esta por sacar el segundo material que se llamara "Hot Pink Camerino" en honor del suenio por el que lucha la banda dia con dia, de tocar por todo el pais, dar a conocer su musica, tocar las fibras sensibles y rockeras de los escuchas y tener un camerino en donde reposar despues de entregar el alma en cada show.

WE are CHERRIE, born in Mexico around 2002, Mel is the girl who started it all, she asked her musician buddies to play her songs for a gig, drummer, Chewbacca had sworn never to play in a band with a girl, on the other hand Ed the guitarist was searching for a new band lead by a rocker girl Mel and ED did the trick and after that one gig, Chewbacca stayed . A year later our then bassplayer left the band to play covers in a well paying bar, so Rob joined our forces and left the band in 2005.
We started playing bars and yardparties makin' fans and friends all over our hometown, Queretaro, Mexico. We recorded our first demo in 2003. Our songs were played in local radiostations, and we appeared on local TV, fanzines and papers. When we decided to go further, our songs: "Unsaid " in its spanish version (Once), "Revientame" and "La Sopa", were programmed and played in Mexico City's Orbita 105.7 fm thanks to the fact that Cherrie won a hard earned 4th place amongst a national search of 600 bands. Kinda neat huh? We in Cherrie are devoted to playing very hard and makin hard hard rock for all of the people to enjoy.
