chelsea z. is a standout performer: distinct and infectious. A mixture of introspective and deeply serious lyrics coupled with guitar-work that is full of life and hope. Her sound has been compared to a five-piece orchestra - as intricate and percussive as Kaki King and as passionate as the words she sings.
Since 2007, she has been headlining and opening shows all over the country (from Chicago to Madison, Atlanta to Nashville) and sharing the stage with acts such as Adrianne, The State Of, Peter Mulvey, Brianna Lane, and Chris Koza to success with diverse crowds. In the short time she has been playing she has captured coveted spots at several festivals including the nationally renowned Decibelle Music & Culture Festival in Chicago.
This fall chelsea z., with the help of producer Tony Schueller of Anton Music Productions (Milwaukee), is finally in the studio recording her debut album and plans to tour heavily upon completion.
Silencing crowds with a sound that is always evolving, chelsea z. is an artist for every genre with banter for all social abilities.
